With scientific activities in Ghent

National Geographic Traveler Magazine called Ghent the third most authentic destination in the world. In 2010 The Lonely Planet was wondering why Europe has hidden this city so long.

“The 1st State-of-the-art meeting of the International Society of Uterustransplantation, Gent, Belgium, 19/10/2018-20/10/2018 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 10 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.”
“Through a nagreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.
“Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.”

Dear colleagues

It is our pleasure to invite you to the first state-of-the-art meeting of the International Society of Uterus Transplantation that will take place in Ghent, Belgium, from October 19 to 20, 2018.

The International Society of Uterus Transplantation (ISUTx) was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden, in January 2016. During this meeting 70 doctors, professors and scientists from all over the world came together to share for the first time the worldwide experiences in the field of uterine transplants.

The first World Congress of the ISUTx was organized in September 2017 and brought together around 120 specialists from all over the world. Then it was decided to hold a conference on a 2-yearly basis and during the years in between them a state-of-the-art meeting.

The Ghent University, the Women's Clinic and the Transplant Center of UZ Gent have the honor to organize this first state-of-the-art meeting. The Women's Clinic, together with the Transplant Center, has started a program for uterine transplants since 2011.

We look forward to see you in Ghent !
